Catdance Film Festival – Cat Lovers Unite!

Never has there been a more popular time for cats!  Increasing numbers of human devotees celebrate their many qualities:
(1) They are smart;
(2) They are beautiful;
(3) They align more with humans in their thought processes than most other animals;
(4) They are the subject of countless cat bloggers and cat themed websites;
(5) They make awesome subject matter for funny pictures and videos. (I Can Has Cheezburger, Stuff on My Cat, etc. etc etc!!!).

“Cat Who” Author Lilian Jackson Braun Tribute

The famous cat mystery author Lilian Jackson Braun who wrote 29 books in the “Cat’s Who” series, passed away June 4, 2011 in South Carolina, at the age of 97. Lilian worked for The Detroit Free Press for 30 years, while publishing her famous series. Her last book, “The Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers” was published in 2007. Her books featured Jim Qwilleran and his Siamese cats, Koko and Yum Yum, and were regulars on the New York Times bestseller lists. They were translated into 16 languages, and were written in longhand, then typed by Ms. Braun herself.
